Challenges

  • We had to do marble large format flooring throughout the main floor of the home with epoxy finish. This required us to provide a proper base by reinforcing the flooring to take the load off the new floor.
  • Extensive landscaping in the backyard due to reusing the old pool but making all the systems new. This required a lot of work to make sure that the old pool worked smoothly and efficiently with the new systems.
  • The master ensuite was to have a seamless vein from the floor to the shower floor to the wall to the ceiling. This required us to do a dry lay to make sure all the veining matched. Then we sent the shower floor portion out to a fabricator so they could cut it into custom mosaic pieces. After it returned to the site, we had to lay them up the exact same way, so the veining matched seamlessly.

Standout Features of the Project

  • The seamless large format marble flooring throughout the main floor with epoxy joints and polished finish. It resembles a glass finish throughout.

  • Backlit stones for vanities in the powder rooms. The lighting can be customized to any colour which also changes the look and feel of the powder rooms as well.
  • The master ensuite tile lay has seamless continuous veins throughout giving a cohesive look.
  • Custom kitchen with metal hood.
  • Crestron system to allow the home to function as a smart home. With automation to control lighting, sound, video, security, blinds, and heating/cooling.
